Christmas & Festive Dining 2026

Gather around the table and celebrate the season with comforting festive favourites, thoughtfully prepared at our village pub.

Our Festive Menu is available from Wednesday 18 November 2026 for seasonal celebrations, family gatherings and festive get-togethers. We welcome pre-orders where possible to help our kitchen prepare; they are not essential. Christmas Day is now fully booked, but you can browse both menus below.

Starters

  • Roasted Parsnip, Apple & Chestnut Soup

    Finished with cream and crispy sage, served with warm crusty bread.

  • Chicken Liver & Cranberry Pâté

    Toasted sourdough and spiced pear chutney.

  • Cod & Smoked Haddock Fishcakes

    Lemon and dill mayonnaise with dressed winter leaves.

  • Baked Camembert with Hot Honey, Rosemary & Cranberry

    Served with rustic toasted bread.

  • Seared King Scallops

    Three scallops with crispy pancetta, pea purée and lemon butter. +£4 supplement.

Main Courses

  • Traditional Roast Turkey Crown

    Stuffing, pigs in blankets, duck-fat roast potatoes, root vegetables, sprouts and turkey gravy.

  • Pan-Roasted Cod Loin

    Crushed new potatoes, buttered seasonal greens, lemon and parsley cream sauce.

  • Slow-Roasted Pork Belly

    Fondant potato, braised red cabbage, apple purée and cider jus.

  • Butternut Squash, Spinach & Chestnut Wellington

    Rosemary roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and red wine gravy.

  • 28-Day Aged 10oz Ribeye Steak

    Chunky chips, roasted tomato, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce. +£7.50 supplement.

  • Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake

    Winter berry compote.

  • Sticky Ginger & Date Pudding

    Salted caramel sauce and clotted cream ice cream.

  • Festive Dessert Trio

    Mini apple and cherry crumble, strawberry Eton mess and chocolate brownie.

  • Traditional Christmas Pudding

    Brandy sauce.

  • Selection of British Cheeses

    Winter chutney, grapes and artisan crackers.

Seared scallops +£4. Ribeye steak +£7.50. A £5 per person deposit is required. If you are able to choose your dishes in advance, we would really appreciate a pre-order; this helps our kitchen prepare and keeps service running smoothly. Pre-orders are not essential.

A festive welcome, three-course Christmas lunch, followed by freshly brewed coffee and chocolate truffles.

Starters

  • Brie, Fig & Caramelised Onion Tart

    Golden pastry filled with Brie, figs and caramelised onion, served with winter leaves and balsamic glaze.

  • Roasted Celeriac, Apple & Chestnut Soup

    Crispy sage, chestnut crumb and toasted sourdough.

  • Chicken Liver & Cranberry Parfait

    Spiced cherry chutney and toasted brioche.

  • Seared King Scallops

    Pea purée, crispy pancetta and lemon butter.

Main Courses

  • Traditional Roast Turkey Crown

    Stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, carrots, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and gravy.

  • Seven-Hour Slow-Roasted Shoulder of Lamb

    Rosemary and thyme-infused lamb, dauphinoise potatoes, roasted root vegetables, Brussels sprouts with chestnuts, braised red cabbage and a rich red wine jus.

  • Fillet Steak

    Tender beef fillet with wild garlic butter, sautéed mushrooms, rosemary roast potatoes, braised red cabbage and peppercorn sauce.

  • Pan-Roasted Salmon & King Prawns

    Crushed new potatoes, samphire and Champagne cream sauce.

  • Wild Mushroom & Camembert Wellington

    Golden puff pastry with wild mushrooms and Camembert, winter vegetables and rich mushroom and red wine jus.

  • Homemade Seasonal Nut, Cranberry & Date Roast

    Festive nut roast with cranberries, dates and seasonal herbs, served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and gravy.

Desserts

  • Traditional Christmas Pudding

    Brandy crème anglaise.

  • Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake

    Cherry ice cream and winter berry compote.

  • Selection of British Cheeses

    Apple chutney, grapes, celery, crackers and butter.

    Mini crumble, Eton mess and brownie with amaretto crumb.

A festive three-course menu for younger guests. Choose one starter, one main course and one dessert for £14.95 per child.

  • Children’s Festive Turkey Dinner

    Roast turkey breast, roast potatoes, stuffing, pig in blanket, seasonal vegetables and gravy.

    Golden chicken goujons, chunky chips and peas or baked beans.

  • Cheesy Tomato Pasta

    Pasta in tomato sauce, finished with grated cheese.

  • Mini Festive Cheeseburger

    Mini beef burger with melted Cheddar and crispy bacon, served in a toasted bun with chunky chips and cranberry sauce on the side.

  • Crispy Chicken Goujons

    Golden chicken goujons with chunky chips and peas or baked beans.

  • Cheesy Tomato Pasta

    Pasta in rich tomato sauce, finished with grated cheese.
